Sally Caswell persuades her husband to leave London to live a more peaceful life in rural Oxfordshire. Unfortunately, her life has become anything but peaceful. Her husband is quarrelsome, particularly with the elderly next-door neighbour. Then something happens that makes Sally fear for her husband's safety - a letter bomb arrives and she presumes that because her husband works with animals, he is being targeted by animal rights activists and they frequently receive anonymous threats in the post.
