I was bought this book as a present when I was pregnant and I thought it was fantastic. There's loads of information in it about weaning and healthy eating, sections for different ages of babies and toddlers and lots of nice pictures of food which has been made to look very attractive and appealing for small children. When I first started weaning I used the book a lot, both as a guide to what food and when I should give it and to use the recipes. I did find it very helpful but at the same time it made me feel slightly disappointed in myself that I didn't have the confidence in myself to make a carrot puree without checking a recipe! A few weeks ago I was starting to think about how I start introducing my little girl to food, personally I found the thought of it a bit daunting, I didn't have a clue on what I should be feeding her, when I should give it to her or even how much she should have. I ended up talking to my sister in law about it as she has two children and she said she had a great book she would lend me which would tell me everything I needed to know.
