On the face of it, Another World appears to be a rather straight forward ghost story, which may put some readers off. The truth is not quite so simple and it's a case of appearances being deceptive, as in reality, it's neither straightforward nor a "proper" ghost story. It centres around the life of a family and, in particular, a 101 veteran of the First World War, living out his final days haunted by guilt about what he did during the war. Trying to help him through this is his grandson, Nick, who is struggling with his own dysfunctional family... and just maybe suffering supernatural interferences as well.
