Artemis fowl has always been one of my favourite books which i've followed and read. The story line so far has been packed with excitement and nearly unbeleivable lines of events. Adding in a time travel has nearly just pushed the series into the realm of unbeleivable. The book as a whole was enjoyable to read and very interesting. At times you would stop and just wonder what the person who wrote it was like, the genious in some of the story lines. One thing to note, to really enjoy the story line to it's potential, you really must have read the previous 5 books. Starting at the end would spoil it! I have always been a huge fan of the Artemis Fowl book series so unsurprisingly when i heard a 6th book was being published I immediately placed a pre-order and read it as soon as i could get my hands on it. The Artemis fowl series centres around the young genius Artemis Fowl, his faithful companion Butler and his adventures with the People. The first book is when Artemis discovers the people and first comes into contact with them. Artemis Fowl is a book that has been compared with Harry Potter many a time and in my opinion rightly so. Although, with the exception of Harry Potter, I don't like books with made up creatures I loved this series even with its paranoid centoirs, grumpy gnomes and bad tempered elves. I didn't even mind warlock imps. However I think time travel has taken things a bit too far. Perhaps it would have been better for me to start of with a brief explanation of all the books before.
