Advantages: Compelling reading, good storyline

Disadvantages: not a harry potter clone!

Is this he next Harry Potter book? oh you wish! After the hype and excitement of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire last year Potter fans like myself have been waiting on tenderhooks for the relase of Harry's next installment.

Artimes Fowl is a 21st century criminal mastermind who wants to deprive the fairy folk of their horde of gold. Armed with all the lastest technological developments known to mankind he obtains "the book" and learns all the fairy secrets.

Armed with this knowlege he captures Holly short,who is a fariy from the fairy police, little does artimes know that Short is cunning and highly magical and the whole LEP police force set out to rescue her.

Artemis Fowl has been daubbed the next Harry potter book by criticts. Far from it! This book has nothing in common to Harry Potter at all! Its a completly different story and a totally differnt magical world compared to Harry's!

The book was a very good read and I recomend that it is read to fill the long wait between book 4 and 5 of the Harry Potter novels.
