Artemis Fowl and the Eternity code is the third book of a highly successful book series called Artemis Fowl. I will start off with a little background information from the first two books. In the first book Artemis Fowl, a twelve year old criminal mastermind, finds out about a whole new species living undergroung. Fairies. For millenia fairies have been hiding from "mud men" under the ground. Although the fairies are about 100yrs above humans technoly wise they have very few numbers. Artemis Fowl kidnapped a fairy. After catastrophic results for both human and fairies Artemis Fowl walks out with a lot of gold.
In the second book Artemis Fowl helps fairies and gets help rescuing his kidnapped father from the russian mafia. Artemis Fowl however still has the stolen technology from the first book which he tries to sell.
This book is very exciting as humans and fairies have to attempt to get back the technology stolen from him by his business client. This book has been very well written like the rest of Eoin Colfer's books. It is written at a fast pace and is suitable for children and young teenagers. In my opinion this easy to read series is justifiably compared to Harry Potter and has several similarities.
