In true moomin style, I have done this review all backwards. This is the middle part of the trilogy, and I’m writing about it first. Why? Erm . . . because I read it first! So, in a manner akin to that of George Lucas (sort of!), I will bring you my thoughts on the first part second, and the third part after that. Make sense? Good! Off we go then . . . . This book is Part 2 of Lee’s autobiography. The first part - ‘Cider with Rosie’ (1959) is taken up with his childhood, the third part - ‘A Moment of War’ (1991) tells of his return to Spain and his part in the Spanish Civil War.
