The first thing I should say is that this At First Sight by Nicholas Sparks is actually a sequel to his previous novel True Believer. That being said you could read the book on its own as well. As we start the book Jeremy Marsh has given up his life in New York, which he swore he would never do, to start a family with Lexie in Boone Creek, North Carolina. You follow their relationship through as they struggle with the chain of events set into play by a mysterious message that Jeremy has received. After learning that Nicholas Sparks was the author behind the movie A Walk to Remember I decided to purchase one of his books at random; taking a stab in the dark knowing that it was his words behind the movie. So I decided to purchase "At First Sight" - upon reading the blurb it seemed like a novel which was really meaty with lots of twists - which I love. After reading the novel I have learned that "At First Sight" is the sequel to "True Believer" - I have not read the first book and I still knew what was happening.
