After finding a good read in other Judy Astley novels, I arrived home from the library with a couple of new ones to read last week. One of which is Away from it All. It has taken me over a week to actually finish reading it, despite all the sunny weather and time on my hands over the last week I've had. As we open the first page we meet Alice. Alice is on her second marriage to noel and they have one child each from their previous marriages. Living in London in a very comfortable lifestyle, Alice fills her days by writing children's fiction, and tending house in a super organised way, writing lists for everything and never seeming to stray from her routine of ... ***Background*** After reading the lovely comical novel Size Matters and then following it up with the delightful All Inclusive, it wasn't a surprise for me to start looking along the A's in the local library to see what else I could find by this author. Judy Astley has written many novels dating back to 1994 but she started out by writing a picture book for children called When One Cat Woke Up.
