 ... not too dissimilar from the Awesome Egyptians book which I think is quite a shame, since some of the information is repeated. Though it is still worth a read! Age range: Although the books are aimed at children in the 9-12 age bracket, I do think it is suitable for anybody older too. It is a nice and easy way to get to grips with a new topic that is thrown at you before you start trying to unravel the hard and complicated facts! Terry Deary is a fantastic author. He is famous for his collection of books known as 'Horrible Histories'. These books cover a wide range of topics in History and are supposed to make learning fun for children. One of these is Awful Egyptians. Plot: This particular book takes us back in time to the time when the Egyptians were around. It's one of the original books by Deary but despite being older it still displays fantastic work. The pictures inside are delightful and there are a lot of interesting facts that children can discover.
