Sara Douglass is a Fantasy writer. She lives in Tasmania and was born in Australia in 1957. Sara's first work of any real note was this, the Axis trilogy. The series consists of three books, Battleaxe, Enchanter and Starman. I had never heard of Sara Douglas until recently but after reading a brief review of this trilogy I thought I would give it a try. These three books came out back in 1995-96 over a period of about a year. They were not a massive hit but sold reasonably well and Sara's potential as a fantasy writer was really noticed around the world.
