I loved Sword of Azrael. I loved Jean Paul/AzBats during Knightfall/Knightsend etc. I loved Azrael during Contagion. Sadly, I just can't get on with Azrael - Agent of the Bat. This comic revolves around a central theme. Azrael is an "Angel of Death" created by the ancient "Order of St.Dumas" as their quasi-mystical enforcer and assassin. Jean Paul Valley is the current Azrael (the last remnants of the order may have more, we did see one recently) and must struggle with the strange mental compulsions he receives from his Azrael training (known as "The System") and his own moralising in the face of the brutal, often savagely ...
