This book quickly became a favourite with my daughter - I wasn't sure at first that the size of it might not be a problem for handling, but my daughter soon showed me otherwise. In fact the large pages were an advantage as the variety of different pictures were good for comparisons. The pages which my daughter favoured were the wild animals and the items which made a noise. The quality of the photography is excellent - these are real pictures which children can relate to. ...

This is a large, brightly coloured book by Dorling Kindersley, with the usual hight quality I have come to expect from them. It's a lovely book, with real colour photos of lots and lots of familiar things that babies and toddlers see in their day to day life. Below each picture is the word that describes it, again in large text. There are several different categories, such as 'clothes', 'toys', and 'out and about'. My 2 year old son particularly likes the 'building machines' section, which has pictures of diggers and dumper trucks!!! At the end of the book are a few pages on shapes, patterns and numbers. ...
