You have to hand it to Walt Disney- they certainly know a fair bit about marketing. I was casting about on amazon.co.uk, looking for some books for my (then) 6-month-old baby, when the zingy, vibrantly coloured pictures of the Baby Einstein Series popped up in my search results. Like any mum, I would love my baby to be intellectually superior to all other children, so I fell into the Einstein=”genius” trap immediately, and ordered about 5 books from the series as Christmas presents for my little girl, Poppy.
