'Baby Talk' by Dr Sally Ward is a book about language development in babies and children and aims to help babies and children communicate, listen and understand more effectively. I realise language development isn't the first thing new mothers or mums-to-be worry about but I think it's something which is important and which is overlooked by most child care books. As someone who has spent my whole life studying and teaching foreign languages to both adults and children, and as my baby will be brought up speaking three different languages, a good book on language development was a must for me but I really think this book would be useful to any ...
