I have real pleasure in writing an opinon about author Richard Bach ,He is one of the best and most imaginative writers I have read .He explores dimensions that are not part of our ordinary world ,and he has a great love of flying ,as in aviation.
This i s in all his stories the first one about a seagull that has aspirations to fly very high ,this story has a spiritual dimension to it,because He ends up with heavenly seagulls..
Richard then wrote a book called *Illusions..Adventures of a reluctant messiah *,what I liked about this book is His description of breathtaking aircraft flight .He could have been writing about himself as His life paralells this story for their was a time when He was short of money and like the hero of the story makes his living by taking people up for rides in a light aircraft .
Then He wrote *The Bridge across forever* ,this was a love story ,very romantic the central figure and He finally finds the one after is searching for His lifelong companion.
The only thing that spoilt this particular story for me ,is there are a few promiscuous encounters described (they where not really necessary to the plot) my opinion*I have been reading this again ,and it conflicts so much with my Christian beliefs ,(that we will inherit Everlasting life only because we acknowledge Christs sacrifice),and live a Gods way .Life can still be varied and exciting inside a moral life ,so I cant read and enjoy this book anymore.
Its a shame because His writing style is brilliant.



Then comes *One*an adventure on the way to a Convention ,full of parallel Universes and many alternative lives of the same characters ..

He obviously favours a belief in re-incarnation ,one I dont believe but I still like His style of writing . He has written some modern day Parables ,and his books are refreshing ,and a little
make believe doesnt hurt in this sordid world ,we were not meant to live hemmed in as we are with so little freedo
m.Some of our confinement can be other peoples ,narrow judgemental thinking,aand his stories break down barriers of confinement for the reader.

His latest stories are about flying ferrets very amusing .

Richard has written about 13 stories and some have been made into films ,He was a fighter pilot in real life and married a
film star .

He married film star Leslie Parrish ,unfortunatly they divorced recently,they met on the film set for *Jonathon Livingston Seagull*.
