Harlan Corben is a great writer of thriller, suspense novels and this book is an excellent one that features a regular character of Corbens, Myron Bolitar a New York based head of a sports agency, Myron acts as agent for a number of top sports stars. He also has a knack for sorting out peoples problems and this ability gets him into trouble every so often and this is when his best friend Win helps him out as Win is fantastically rich but also a cold blooded killer.

The basic plot sees him helping out a golf pro client who is enjoying a suprb US Open Championship however his son has disappeared and it seems being held for ransom. The golfer in question choked a number of years before on the last round and now looks like being in a similar position many years later.

The plot to this book actually sounds simple but actually becomes very complicated with lots of twists and turns, some ofthem predictable and others less so.

What I like about this book is that it is fast paced and well constructed, Corben is an excellent writer ofthrillers and his characters are always individual an very interesting, they also have their appeal even if they are quite sinister as well.

If you like action packed thrillers with gripping plots then this will be a book for you, this is part of a series and there are earlier books but to be honest it is a good read on its own.
