The Plot This book doesn't have a particularly exciting plot to it. The main character is Anna, who is messed around by her rich, good-looking boyfriend Seb. At a party she meets Geri, who encourages her to follow her dream of becoming a writer. Having been ditched by Seb, Anna pours everything into this. After applying to an advert, she ... After reading a few of her previous novels, Bad heir Day was a gift to me from my mum for Christmas as she was really pleased she remembered who I had been reading and the one's that I hadn't yet read. I started reading her books from the most recent first but have now backtracked and Bad Heir Day was Holden's second novel, following ... Read the complete review

Yes, yes, I'm feeling rather opinionated this weekend. Nothing hormonal just that I have a thousand buzzing opinions in my head and boy have I got a bee in my bonnet about this book. I enjoy those throw away chick bubblegum pink books as much as the next sentimental fool. But this book really is a big pile of hot steaming cow plop and ... Read the complete review

I read Wendy Holden's first novel Simply Divine and found it just that a Simply Divine read so when I saw that her second novel Bad Heir day was on offer for 50p from Mango as part of the introductory offer I snapped it up. After reading the first of Wendy Holden's novels "Simply Divine" which I thought was excellent, I couldn't wait to get my hands on the second "Bad Heir Day" - what a read! This book, although in my opinion, not as funny as the first, is, in its own right a rib tickler and I couldn't put it down - literally, ... Read the complete review

Bad Heir Day is the second novel by Wendy Holden, former glossy magazine contributor, her first being Simply Divine. Holden's style is polished although her humour feels a little too polished often false and sometimes a wee bit cringy. ... Read the complete review
