Advantages: well explained

Disadvantages: few facts are wrong

Johnson Beharry was a poor lad from Grenada. He joined the British army, served in Iraq, nearly got killed twice and won Victoria Cross for bravely when he rescued his colleagues twice from immense danger. He hurt himself badly while on duty. His bravery and behaviour in the army shows him to be a great character that thoroughly deserved the medal.

Although injured Beharry won’t be poor again. This book deal is worth £1 million to him.

The book first tells of his life outside the army, he talks about the people who inspired him and he also describes the life in army comprehensively with gruesome details. Although the ghost writer has made few factual mistakes which could be forgiven and for those who have no experience of army life will not realise them.

Overall readers of this book will be inspired by this young man who is brave and went out of his way to save his colleagues.

A thoroughly recommended book about a real life hero who saved dozens of lives while serving thousands of miles away from his home.

Amazon price £11.39 for hardback.

Finally, I found this book easy to read and follow the events in the army. Someone who hasn't been in the army will find it same as someone who hasn't.

Summary: interesting read

I want to read this one, nice to know I'll understand it without having to worry about too much military jargon. Thanks.
