One of Charles Dickens great novels , a story of the gentry those below stairs ,Romance ,religious riots,and secret societies .It was going then too .This story helps us to develope our powers of visualization ,the language is so discriptive.We start off in an old inn ,with a shadowy figure ,sitting away from the locals who frequent,this travellers resting place.He is concealing his face who is he? There is the locksmiths house with the ugly maidservant who has an admirer an aprentrice to the locksmith ,he also being ugly ,but thinks he is very attractive .
