Advantages: Good story makes you think .

Disadvantages: none .

One of Charles Dickens great novels , a story of the gentry
those below stairs ,Romance ,religious riots, and secret
societies .It was going then too .This story helps us to develope our powers of visualization ,the language is so
discriptive. We start off in an old inn ,with a shadowy figure ,sitting away from the locals who frequent, this travellers resting place. He is concealing his face who is he? There is the locksmiths house with the ugly maidservant
who has an admirer an aprentrice to the locksmith ,he also being ugly ,but thinks he is very attractive .
He sneaks off at night to secret meetings .
The locksmiths daughter is good looking in love with someone of an opposing faith .
Then there is Barnaby Rudge a mentally retarded young man
protected by his mother ,His Father a criminal, what does it all mean?
I have read this book several times ,and enjoyed it .

Yes ,those divisions are still in society unfortunatly.
Charles Dickens is timeless as an author isnt he.
