Robin was Batman's sidekick, I am sure almost everyone will know this but I am also sure that the majority of readers wont have known that over the years there have been 3 Robins (4 if you count the brief spell held by Stephanie Brown). Each Robin has had their own individual personality and styles; this is the story of the second Robin and his eventual death by a public phone poll. Batman: A Death In The Family is a graphic novel that collects together a specific story arc (issues 426-429) from the weekly comics that were first published in 1988/89. Like the infamous 'The Death Of Superman' arc , DC sought to create publicity with what became a mildly controversial best seller, if not quite a milestone in comic history.
