Where Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons "Watchmen" was a true triumph of substance and depth over style, "Arkham Asylum: A Serious Place on A Serious Earth" is the other way around, style over substance. It isn't all too dissappointing though, inside there are two stories, told at the same time and referencing each other. The main one is obviously Batman. It's April First and the Joker has managed to take over Arkham and turn it over to the criminals, taking several hostages. His demands are simple, Batman comes in for a game and the hostages go free.
