Battlefield earth. ============= written by L. Ron. Hubbard, founder of Scientology. The book is far far better than the film. having said that let me try and back that up. The Earth was invaded by aliens over a thousand years ago and since that time humans have been enslaved by the alien race who call themselves the Psychlos. The Psychlos use worm hole gate to move between the planets they have conquered and their home world. That gateway to their home is guarded very tightly. We will come back to that. The book follows our hero, Jonnie, who is captured one day and taken for processing but he is noticed by Terl, the ... Read the complete review

Battlefield Earth. Author - L. Ron. Hubbard. Have read a few of his books and have seen the film, so I thought I'd give the book a go. The review will be short and concise, so you can probably already guess what I thought of the book. Synopsis. ~~~~~~~ For over a thousand years Earth has been conquered and ruled over by a race of humanoid beings called the Psychlos. Free humans live in only the remotest parts of the planet and number only in the thousands. But the Psychlos are always in need of new slaves and hunt the remaining humans mercilessly. They need them to mine and strip the Earth of all ... Read the complete review

For all those that cherish a science fiction triller, Battlefield Earth, in my opinion is a must read novel. It is like a sequel with both stories put into one book. The first part being where Jonnie Goodboy Tyler leaves his home village and takes on the mighty Psychlo empire, putting his and his fellow villagers lives on the line. Resulting in the teleportation of several ancient ... Read the complete review

Warning: Do not let the film discourage you from reading this book. Battlefield Earth is set in the 3000 where the Psychlos have taken over Earth and Humans are reduced to primitives living in caves. Battlefield Earth focuses on the rise of humans as the dominant species on Earth and goes beyond anything we have seen before in the Science Fiction genre. This book is one of the most expansive and detailed science fiction books around. The story is top notch and will leave you gasping after every chapter. What makes this story stand out over the other Hubbard novels is its attention to detail, every action that all the main characters take are ... Read the complete review
