There is nothing better than a good bedtime story to get the little one off to sleep and to create some special bonding time between parent and child. And parent will probably agree when I say theirs nothing worse than reading a book over and over again when you cant stand the thing. This was me every night practically with the kipper books written by Mick Inkpen, luckily I didn't mind reading these ones, as the illustrations were fantastic. The stories came together and provided a wonderful tale for the child to hear. I was extremely happy when on a recent trip to the library; I came across another Mick Inkpen story called Bear. This is a magical story about a bear that lands in the boys baby sisters playpen. As all of mick Inkpen's storys really does connect with the children and they love it. I have lost count of how many times i have bougt this book. I have bought it for my kids, then i bought it again with a CD attached with the story on, i have bought it as a present for friends children. My kids know every single word now and though they can not read they sit there and look at the pictures and say the story out load as they remember it being read to them. Yet another great book by the award winning writer and illustrator of children's picture books, it's certainly no surprise that over 4 million copies of his books have been sold worldwide and that they have been translated in to more than 20 languages! ~ The story ~ The story is told through the eyes of a young boy. One day, with a whooshing sound then a plop, a bounce and a kind of squeak a teddy bear landed in the boy's sister's playpen!!
