Advantages: very detailed

Disadvantages: a little too in depth for some tastes

Keith Badman's unique book truly leaves no stone unturned, covering the Beatles after the break up, from 1970 - 2000, in painstaking detail. The book takes the form of a diary, detailing every single event from 1970 onwards - concerts, recording sessions, interviews, appearances and more.

If you're looking for prose about the band's solo years, I would suggest looking elsewhere, but for pure factual information, this book is hard to beat. The author, Keith Badman, is a veteran of numerous books on the Fab Four, as well as others on 60's acts including the Beach Boys & the Small Faces.

Also of interest to John Lennon fans is a very in depth account of his final day, unrivalled in any other book. Worth a look for that alone, but if you're a fan with the level of interest where you want to hear about each & every incident after the break-up, this is undoubtedly the book for you.

Summary: Good book for the discerning Beatles fan
