Ben and Jerry?s ice cream. Always coming up as one of the favourites in any ?favourite ice cream? question, and I have to admit to being rather partial to a tub myself from time to time. So as my answer to that particular question is ?the homemade variety? I was quite pleased when browsing through the recipe section of the bookshop I came across a Ben and Jerry?s recipe book. Fantastic, so for the princely sum of £7.99 the shop let me take it home, and 12 months later I finally got around to trying out some of the recipes and to writing a review. The book is a good size for browsing it?s a small to medium size ... Read the complete review

I have been making ice cream for the past few years and, like many others, Ben & Jerry's is one of my favourite ice cream brands. So when I saw this book I had to have it. Before I go any further with this review can I make one thing clear this recipe book wiil not show you how to recreate exactly you favourite flavours of B&J as seen in the supermarkets, however the recipes do appear to be based on what the sell in the US (can't comment never been) and are definitely B&J style ice creams (and suitably delicious). The recipe book is split into several sections. It starts with an entertaining section on the history of the B&J ... Read the complete review

I've been a fan of Ben & Jerry's ever since I first tried their ice cream in the USA. I've been known to take an hour's train ride to Cromer to buy B&J when the only supermarket selling it was Safeway. So, this book was an obvious choice for a Christmas present for me, and boy did my eyes light up when I unwrapped it. But it was my downfall. I had read barely 3 recipes when I knew. There was nothing else for it - I would have to spend all my Christmas cash on an ice cream maker. This book is the bible of ice cream making as far as I'm concerned. You learn about what makes good ice cream and why, how your ice cream maker ... Read the complete review

I bought this book, along with my new ice-cream maker, ready to embark on an ice-cream making journey. And that's exactly what I've done, thanks to this recipe book. I started out with a safe vanilla flavour, and have slowly progressed to the slightly more complex and some would say unusual peanut butter flavour. This book is perfect as it includes flavours for ice creams which I would have never thought of myself, and gets good results every time. there really is something for everyone, including simpler versions of classic Ben & Jerry's flavours (Cookie dough being a personal favourite) and simple yet effective French Vanilla, for people like my mum who are ...
