One of the most important tasks for me, after booking a holiday, is to acquire a guidebook or two. Very often I do not read these until departure, as I do not like to over plan my vacation. For several years now, I have stuck with the same publisher of travel guides, as I felt comfortable with their layout and accuracy. However for my recent trip to Bermuda I realised that there was less choice with regard to pre holiday reading. I opted for the Lonely Planet Travel Guide with a cover price of £10.99 although reduced by 34% at Amazon. In fact there was precious little choice.
