The book itself is an insight into his life that has so far been rather a mystery; following his disappearance into a world of drugs and disgraced celebrities we have heard little of his private life over the years. As a very public figure in his younger years, it is fascinating to read about his progression into harder drugs and the life he led for many years. Perhaps most suprsingly is his inability to kick the habit for so long. Jason gives an honest account of his ...more

Ok, I'm too embarrassed to display this on my bookshelf, but I have to confess to owning Jason's autobiography. I was a huge Neighbours fan growing up and as a child when he launched his music career I can't help but prick my ears up when I hear his name. The fallen angel of the soap turned music star game, he has recently re-emerged in the public eye a considerably older, mature and continually likeable character. The book itself is an insight into his life that has so far been rather a mystery; following his disappearance into a world of drugs and disgraced celebrities we have heard little of his private life over the years. "Between The Lines - My Story Uncut" is the autobiography of Jason Donovan. Now I am sure most of you know who Jason Donovan is but for those who don't he was a heart throb of the 80s and early 90s. However from those highs he began a downward spiral into partying, drug taking and really lost it for quite some time until he finally settled down ...  Read the complete review

First off please let me confess, yes I was a massive Jason Donovan fan back in the day when he became a pop star, please don't think any less of me for it! LOL I was very keen to read his latest book as I had been told how truthful and upfront the had been throughout. The book did not let me down. Jason starts by with a very scary chapter telling about the time he was invited to Kate Moss' 21st birthday party and he ended up collapsing in the middle of the dance floor in front of everyone from a drug overdose. He could quite easily have died from this but he openly admits it still did not give him the wake up call he so very badly needed. ...  Read the complete review
