Friedrich Nietzsche (1844-1900) remains one of the most influential post-modernist philosophers in history. His philosophy revolves around the themes of truth, morality, human psychology, language and religion with his key belief being that there cannot be truth, as everything is impermanent and can be viewed from different perspectives. His ideas are simple on face value, yet become complex as you delve deeper and are constantly being debated and reinterpreted. Beyond Good and Evil is perhaps Nietzsche's best novel for beginners to the philosopher, as it touches on most of his key ideas, though not necessarily in a logical or easily understandable ...
