Do you remember Nasty Nick and the great live showdown, live on the web ? Of course, you do. Well, there was a lot of work behind the programme, and if you were at least remotely interested in the show, you must read this book, it is excellent. I loved watching Big Brother over the Summer and felt a bit lost when it was all over, so I was really pleased to hear the book was coming out, but I was a bit worried that it would be brought out too quickly and be a sub-standard product. However, when I bought the book, I was pleasantly surprised, it was brilliant ! It is very detailed, with so many interesting sections. There are profiles on each housemate, as ... I was one of those sad people who stayed in every night to watch Big Brother (I must be getting old) so I had to have the book. The book tells you everything that you saw on the television but in much more detail. Obviously there is also a lot more information about what happened/when etc. At the beginning there is an interesting bit which tells you about the rules and what the contestants were allowed to take in and who hid what where!! There is a section at the end of each chapter (separated by the week number) which tells you all about the tasks/mini tasks and if they passed or failed. Also is information on who nominated who. A good read ... Read the complete review

The show has had the British Population captivated all summer - now, hot on it's heels comes the book of the series... "Big Brother - The Official Unseen Story" - 250 pages of rehashed and tired material, the majority of which has already been done to death on TV. The book predictably starts before the actual series with some interesting details about the construction of the Big Brother House and Control Rooms and some details of how the contestants were selected. From then, each chapter covers one week inside the house. The final two chapters are titled The Result and It's Over. Having enjoyed watching every episode of ... Read the complete review

I was very excited about receiving this book, (and I had pre-ordered it online at a discount – haha, forever the bargain hunter). I was half disappointed in it though, given the title of the book i was expecting a bit more from it. The first thing I did was to look at all the colour pictures, there are 2 sections of these, but was disappointed that almost all of them had been seen before, either in the edited programme on tv or in magazines. There was nothing original there at all. Then… After wading through the first chapter about all the technical stuff, which I suppose was interesting in its own way, I really enjoyed reading about the ... Read the complete review

This book starts off with some basic facts about the setting up of big brother and a little info on the contestants which is quite interesting and firly unheard of information. Then the main body of the book is a week by week account of what went on in the house. Most of the information is what most of the nation saw with their own eyes on the television set-nothing new here then! Giving the book a little credit there were points in the book which i missed, i must of been getting a coffee!! But when i excitedly told my friends of what i thought i knew and they didnt they turned round and told me they had already seen it. So i would reccommend this book to people who ...
