Advantages: Re-living the show
Disadvantages: Misleading title
This is the book that all us Big Brother fans have been waiting for, or so I thought. During the final week of Big Brother, Channel 4 started advertising this book which would be published about 10 days after the winner walked out of the blue door, and it would include inside gossip and news from the eventual winner. I, like many others, pre-ordered this book and feel somewhat cheated by its misleading title. Don't get me wrong - I have enjoyed reading it and it only took a few days, but I would have liked a bit more of the 'unseen' stuff in there. The book starts with an interesting first couple of chapters about the production team, behind the scenes and picking the 10 applicants, then we get a day to day account of everything that happened inside the house for the next 64 days - basically what we have spent the last 2 months watching avidly on the TV. There are a few little surprises in there, but not many and the colour pictures are good (including one of Tom in his red shorts with wood for the ladies!). Basically, this is a book for the die hards, but very interesting none the less and is a good reminder of a very bizarre summer!
