Bringing Down the House: How Six Students Took Vegas for Millions - Ben Mezrich:
... wonder how many of us have ever been to a casino and, sitting at a blackjack table, as the house seems to keep winning, and our chips are fast disappearing, wished we could do something to change the course of our destiny and win big. Tell Me Why, Mummy: A Little Boy's Struggle to Survive - David Thomas ... you have read any of my previous reviews you will know that I like to read books which are true stories. Alot of the time the books I read have me in tears, you would think this puts me off reading these kinds of books but it doesn t. Tell Me Why Mummy is a true story written by David Thomas, I picked this book up in my local Cancer Research Shop along with 2 others as the books in there are 3 for £1 or 50p each. Every Second Counts - Lance Armstrong ... me Lance Armstrong is one of the true sporting heroes of recent times and should be an inspiration and bring hope to many who are ill of what you can achieve if you put your mind to it and believe. This book is an inspirational account of the multiple Tour de France winner s personal and professional victories. The book is a very intimate glimpse into his life and how almost dying has pushed him on to great things. His previous book took us through his journey from a t... Going Ga Ga - Mel Giedroyc ... remember Mel and Sue when they were first famous, they were mega funny but Mel Giedroyc was always my fave because of the quirky and self concious way she played her part in the double act. They don t do much together now and I ve missed them a bit because they re two of the very few female comedians I actually found funny. In the library last week I saw her name on the front of a book as well as the picture you can see in the photo above, from reading the back I saw it was going to be sort of an autobiography but it sounded like more fun than most celebrity books. As soon as I started reading I knew this was going to be a MAD book, and it is! lol Mel starts off te... Read the full review: Better Than Lady Gaga!!! by CheekyCharlie08 |
