Being a fan of mystery and crime novels, I tend to get them as gifts quite a bit. This one came to me for my birthday this year and had me enthralled. It centres on Roly, who is a strange character, a bit of a loner who seems to befriend young boys. When one boy goes missing, and the body of another is found on a peculiar scaffold deep in a wood, the police suspect Roly of being somehow involved, and are alarmed to find that another young boy is already developing a close bond with him.
