I haven’t read that many of Danielle Steel’s books, but the ones I have read I have thoroughly enjoyed. She’s got such a good style of writing, one that conveys emotions making the reader feel part of the book. In ‘Bittersweet’ it’s a novel of the times as Arthur Marwick would say (a well known historian), a story of choices and new beginnings of hopes and dreams. The main character is Indian Taylor, who lived this luxurious lifestyle, ‘a world of manicured lawns and neatly maintained calendars’. This book makes you realize what you may have been missing in love. I just finished this book again and still loved it as much as when i read it the first time. The main character is India, a mother of four kids ages 9 to 14. She is married to Doug and she stays home with the kids. She was a photographer and a writer before she got married, doing stories in the most remote places and the most interesting things. She also worked in the peace corps. That is how she met her husband. She decides that she would love to go back to work occasionaly and mentions it to her husband who tells her that she made a deal and was supposed to stay home ...  Read the complete review
