Black and Blue - an Inspector Rebus novel (Black & Blue - Ian Rankin)
Member Name: LIZS383
Advantages: Familiar characters, new plot Disadvantages: Not an easy clean read!
This stretches Ian Rankin's rebus series way out of it's Edinburgh comfort zone & in to the excrutiatingly uncomfortable media spotlight. Rebus really seems to hold a grudge against this serial killer and in turn the media hold one against him. It is a faster paced faster flowing book than many of the series, but Rankin has not scrimped at all on any of the detail given. There is a tense undertone running through this book and this is not something to read and relax! Summary: Rebus on form and annoyed. |
