Matthew Collings' 'Blimey' is an incredibly readable book about the London modern-art world from Francis Bacon to Damien Hirst. 'Blimey' isn't informative in the traditional sense (long-winded histories, in-depth criticism and analysis, pie-charts etc...) but is a casual, episodic guide to the London-art experience of the Saatchi-generations, full of "a funny thing happened to me the other day" type stories.
