I don't own this book but I am a bit of a bookworm so I go to the library, and sometimes instead of looking at my usual JK Rowling and co., I went for this instead. And I was pleasantly surprised! The looks in this book are really natural and beautiful. I used to be into dramatic smokey eyes and huge wings but this book convinced me to tone it down. This book has lots of credibility. It is by the legendary bobbi brown of whose cosmetics I love when, once in a blue moon someone feels generous and gives some to me for christmas. Well I'm no teenage beauty but when I found a copy of this book in a cut price book store I thought it might be worth reading. Bobbi Brown writes on skin care, haircare, makeup and general body 'maintenance'. There's a useful section on basic skin care and how to tell what type of you skin you have. It also advises what is bewst for each type of complexion. The section on spots and how to cope is quite useful if you are a teenager. Find out how apply makeup so that you look trendy, natural and attractive. (It also goes into the makeup do's and don't's for specific occasions. For example mske up for a club would be different ... With Christmas coming up and if you do not know what to buy for a teenage girl, then buy them a Bobbi Brown no nonsense beauty bible titled Bobbi Brown Teenage Beauty. It contains everything you need to know about how to look pretty or natural, it is written for teenagers and gives down to earth advice It gives a back to basics skin care and make-up lessons, and shows you different make-ups for different skin types and for different occasions.
