While the first book in this Stratemeyer Syndicate series served to introduce readers to the Bobbsey family and set the formula all the other books were to follow, this did notmean that the remaining books in the series were entirely clones of the first. The Bobbsey Twins of Lakeport was admittedly a bit of a slow start adventurewise, but it also provided the Bobbsey twins and ourselves a chance to get to know the twins and their family and friends, the set up of the community, and even a taste of mystery as they explored the local haunted house while looking for their lost kitten.
