3 Para is a book by Patrick Bishop, a journalist who has covered such conflicts as the First Gulf war, the Troubles in Ireland and the Falklands war while writing for the Telegraph and The Observer and has written two books and a novel about the pilots of WW2. This is a writer therefore who has covered a wide range of conflicts ranging from conventional warfare to anti terrorism actions which should make him qualified to cover the fighting in Afghanistan which is a blend of both of these types of conflict. Bishop has clearly had a great deal of access to the men of 3 Para and as a result this book is packed with information and anecdotes which serve to build up a ...
