Advantages: Much easier to read than the first book, Will make you laugh out loud

Disadvantages: Will make you laugh out loud - how embarrassing is taht

I don't count myself amongst the thousands of women who loved the original book!
I found it really really hard to get into.

I read the second book as a last resort - 3 days left of the holiday and I had read everything else - twice!

Well what can I say! Absolutley fantastic. It may have helped that I had recently been to see the film (much easier to get into than the book if only becasue I had to drool over Colin Firth).

I found myself laughing out loud and often at this book. Yes the plot is predicatable (with some unexpected twists that could only happen to Bridge!)

If you have seen the film and then read this book you will be visualising the characters without even meaning to. I read books because I like to use my imagination but this was just the best.

Some almost sad parts and it appealed to the hopeless romantic in me.

Not a very intellectual book (despite one of the characters being a barrister) but extremely good fun anyway.

I recommend thoroughly. Go out and buy it.
