ibought this book basically as it had such a good reputation and was a no 1 bestseller...it also helped that a film is currently being filmed in london based on the first novel......this book basically is written in the first person, and follows a rough diary of a 30 something single woman with so many hang ups..it could be used as a wardrobe....and it is supposed to mirror the 'norm'...i fel the content lacked an interesting and consuming storyline, as it was alittle weak and sammy in parts, but then alittle excitement is thrown in with some drug smuggling and some love interest.....really very disappointing, and at the beginnning of each day it noted down how many fags, calories, friends, boyfriends and sex she's had...SO WHAT!!!! this is not imaginative nor compelling reading and frankly was a bit of a wash....also this is not typical of any other woman's life i know, and if it was i'd slap her Summary: |
