I have a confession to make...I think I may just be the biggest Buffy fan on dooyoo.co.uk Well, this book is very useful for swotting up on my 'Buffy' knowledge, and gives me a few pics of my gorgeous Seth Green, aka, Oz. The book includes: 'The Mythology of Buffy'. Explaining who and what a slayer is. 'Rules of the Game'. The slayers handbook... 'Sunnydale guidebook'. Giving the grand tour of the infamous city. 'Character guide'. Giving you a summary and the best lines of the characters of series one and two, including Buffy, Angel, Xander, Willow, Giles, Cordie, OZ (!), Miss Calendar, Buffy’s mom and the two principles that there have been at Sunnydale High. 'Episode guide'. Which takes you through season one and two, episode by episode. 'Monster Guide'. Explains every monster that you have met from Series one and two. 'Bloodlust'. Shows Sunnydale's love connections, including Angel & Buffy, Cordelia & Xander, Willow & Oz, and Jenny Calendar & Rupert Giles. ‘Behind the scenes’. This shows you what goes on when they are not filming, including an exclusive interview with the writer, ‘Joss Whedon’ and pictures with, the one, the only, Buffy’s stunt-double! ‘Music’. This gives you a list of the music played on the show in the two series, and most of these are on the ‘Buffy’ soundtrack, which I also have to admit to owning… The book does not only give you loads and loads of dialogue from the show, which reminds you of your favourite episodes, but gives you lines that have been cut. They have never been heard and there are never before seen pictures behind the scenes, including Seth Green in make-up as his ware-wolf self…still sexy I might add. There is so much crammed into this bo
ok, and once you have read it you will be just as Buffy-mad as I am, and know a hell-mouth of a lot about the show. There are even interviews with the cast and crew. If you have missed an episode here and there (nope, I have seen them all…) you can just check back in the episode guide. If you have ever wondered what Sunnydale would be like to live in, have a good read of the guide. What is the attraction of a city with such a high death rate, anyway? The only problem with this book is that there isn’t enough. It only goes up to series two. I am pleased to say, though, that this is a good lead up to the ‘Sunnydale High Yearbook’ which is of series three. I am hoping that there is a new book coming out soon for series four, and maybe series 5 (I haven’t seen that one yet!)
