Given that this range of books is aimed at very young children, it doesn't really encourage any active participation in the form of any repetitive text that they can join in with. This is one in a series of books in the 'Little Kipper' range by Mick Inkpen, aimed at very young children. ~ The Content ~ The book's main character is the very popular, Kipper. In this book, Kipper is trying to catch a butterfly that has landed on his friend, Pig's lolly but it quickly flies away. Then begins a chase of the butterfly as it lands on a lilac bush and a baby's purple balloon which Kipper ends up popping to the astonishment of the baby!
