Well-written, mysterious, fascinating story with fantastic characters. None

superb take on teh space opera genre, with intrigue, murder, and mayhem. Unique story perspective addictive and hard to put down

richly detailed, and well imagined, full of intrigue and alien wonder a bit slow at the start

Nice ideas... ...that could have been much better realized.

Plenty of amusing scenes; Rincewind is a great character, as is the Luggage. Less coherent than later books, and not as sharp in the satire

Impressive debut with some fantastic art. A bit of a copy-cat, falling for some of the Sandman's pitfalls.
