Newest Review: ... of Calvin, a 6 years old child and Hobbes, his stuffed tiger. What really makes Calvin and Hobbes so funny is not only the way they are presented and the drawing skills of Watterson, but, I would say the witty lines. Calvin is a 6 years old boy and the way he sees the world of adults is brilliant. His stuffed tiger comes alive when the 2 of them are together and only when he is with his ... more

Oh boy if I love Calvin and Hobbes comics! Calvin and Hobbes are by far my favourite comic book. I simply love them. The name comes from the 2 philosophers Calvin and Hibbes. Initially released in 1985 as strip cartoons which were signed by Watterson, they became a very reoccurring feature in many newspapers. There are many books with different stories of Calvin, a 6 years old child and Hobbes, his stuffed tiger. What really makes Calvin and Hobbes so funny is not only the way they are presented and the drawing skills of Watterson, but, I would say the witty lines. Calvin is a 6 years old boy and the way he sees the world of adults is ...  Read the complete review

Last week I fell ill and I had a chance to read 3 co^mplete books of comics of Calvin and Hobbes. This is my favourite comic in the papers, there are quite a few who carry a strip every day. For those who do not know who Calvin and Hobbes are, Calvin is the most adorable 6 years old kid I have ever met, and yes, he is a little evil too. Hobbes is his stuffed tiger. You can see both of them on the drawing on Dooyoo. What is so good about the 2 of them? Well, when Calvin is on his own, the tiger is alive, he is his best friend and enemy at the same time. When Calvin parents are around, his parents are a boring dad and a mum who ...  Read the complete review

From the genial mind and great pen of Watterons you have many comics and adventures of Calvin, a 6 years old kid, and his stuffed tiger Hobbes. Calvin can be good and can be devil. When he is alone, the stuffed tiger becomes alive. Calvin is the kind of boy that I would like to have, even when he misbehaves, he does it in such a way, that you cannot stop loving him, there is a level of ingenuity that he not present in adults. Hobbes in a way represents this adult level of consiousness, and the 2 of them are the great enemies and friends at the same time. It is beautiful to see the world again as a kid sees it, for me this is the greatest ...  Read the complete review

Calvin and Hobbes is my favourite cartoon and I recommend it to everyone! It is the mind and the result of Bill Watterson and you can find it in many newspapers, I normally read it on Herald Tribune in Hotels , when I travel. Calvin is a 6 years old, and I do not know one person who would not like to have child like him! Hobbes is a stuffed tiger, but when Calvin is with the toy, it comes alive. Calvin's mother is protective, but also hysterical, his father is a kind of office clerk with a dry sense of humour. Susie is the female friend of Calvin, Calvin hates her. There is a baby sitter who some time is called to ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Calvin and Hobbes Comics in general: Too funny for words - hence it's a cartoon! (453 words)

Just to say - I haven't read any of the other opinions on 'Calvin and Hobbes', as I don't want to copy...so if any of this sounds familiar it just means I'm on the same wavelength as the other opinionators! 'Calvin and Hobbes' is a piece of comic genius from Bill Watterson. The strip was carried in newspapers for eleven years before Watterson ceased writing/drawing the amusing twosome. It is based on the psyche of a six-year-old boy and his stuffed-toy tiger (which, incidentally, is very much alive and pouncy!) This boy, Calvin, ponders over the world's existence and why he is alive and other such major topics of ...  Read the complete review

Very well written, at its best this is great Loses direction badly towards the end

Hilarious! Break from the norm, take no notice!

Wolverine, Electra, vast hoardes of undead ninjas, Captain America and battles galore none-the action roars across the page so fast it leaves scorch marks on your fingertips

More exciting than the first book, due to popular demand. Pressure from above interferes with Alan Moore's creative vision.

Hilarious archaic dialogue from the defenders of Blighty. Humour won't be to everyone's taste, particularly those who are easily offended or too sensible.
