The field of interstellar exploration is a common theme across all kinds of science fiction, but this book intends to examine if any of science fiction's methods are plausible. As it happens, the author believes that almost all of them are implausible, but suggests various methods that could be used to send unmanned probes to nearby stars within a hundred years or so. However, the book begins with rather a large amount of textbook physics.
