Advantages: Greats characters, entertaining

Disadvantages: None

After speeding through the past two Sophie Kinsella books I had the last one on the book shelf to make my way through.

Sophie Kinsella is one of my favourite authors she always seems to write in a way that I find really entertaining and has me hooked like a gripping drama.

This book is about Emma Corrigan, in her mid twenties she shares a flat with her best friend Lissy and spends most of her time cursing her cousin Kerry who is always showing Emma up as a failure.

Emma has struggled to hold down a job and after a year she is sticking it out as a Marketing Assistant but appear quite keen to keep this job and work her way to a promotion, however this looks gloomy when Emma is sent to secure a deal for Panther and ends up spilling the cola all over the potential client and to make matters worse on the journey back from Glasgow she finds herself sat in business class next to a nice american minding his own business but when the plane suffers from a mechanical fault Emma finds her many secrets being blabbed out to the american next to her.

Thankfully the plane lands successfully and Emma's horrific journey comes to an end and what's more her fantastic boyfriend Connor is at the airport to greet her and ask her to move in with him.

Just as things look to be going along swimmingly it is revealed that the stranger on the plane is not quite the stranger her appeared to be at the time and one by one Emma finds herself regretting spilling all her secrets and feeling humiliated by her recent behaviour.

I found this book so easy to relate to the fact that her boyfriend believes she is a size 8 when in fact she is a size 12 and she even squeezes herself into the thong he bought her as a gift even though it pains her to wear it!

~*~Characters~*~

Emma is the main character and marketing assistance at Panther Cola, she is trying to pay off her debt to her dad and also try to outwit her cousin Kerry who since the age of 14 has been living with her family and always seems to get her own way and poor old Emma has been pushed out of view.

Connor is Emma's boyfriend and also works at Panther Cola, he takes his job very seriously and would give anything to speak with the head of Panther Cola and describe his ambitions.

Lissy is Emma's flat mate they have been friends for years, Lissy is extremel intelligent and is an excellent lawyer and always seems to get Emma out of any mess she finds herself in.

Kerry
Kerry is Emma's cousin and has lived with Emma and her parents since the age of 14 and ever since Kerry arrived on the scene Emma has always been second best. Kerry is an evil character and seems to get pleasure in embarrassing Emma in any way possible.

A great story that is just a little different to the standard book on the shelf, I really enjoyed it and loved how the characters were easy to relate to especially Emma who seems very similar to myself!

A very good read.

Summary: Read it on the beach, train or just anywhere you wont want to put it down.

Sophie Kinella's books are great holiday reads and they always have at least one bit in them where I actually laugh out loud! Great review.
