Kate Cann writes excellent books for teenagers, most of which are grounded in real life but have a kind of practical fantasy element about them, for example landing a dream job, jetting off to America where life becomes perfect, etc. Of course...these things could happen, but are pretty unlikely! Kate Cann is a wonderful author of teenage books. She writes beautifully, but still clearly. Her books are very easy to read, and understand. The best thing about her books, is that she writes about real life, and real life experiences that many of us can relate to, while still including a gritty storyline good enough so you won't want to put it down. I've read all of her books and haven't been disappointed with any of them. The lovely thing about these books, is that they are written in a very teenager friendly way, yet they are not at all chick-lit trashy.
