This is one of a series of workbooks aimed at primary school children, this particular one covering the first half of the syllabus for Year 6 pupils (age 10-11). I have never quite understood what Carol Vorderman's contribution to the series is - the use of her name and picture seem to be merely a marketing ploy, as the author of the book is John Kennedy, a teacher of mathematics and English. Primary school head teacher Sean McArdle acts as consultant, so Carol Vorderman seems to be just a pretty picture on the front cover.
